Ontario boy in critical condition after car accident on QEW

A 12-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital after suffering serious injuries in a multi-vehicle accident on one of Ontario's major highways. Five others were also injured in the sameĀ car accident on the Queen Elizabeth Highway (QEW) in Mississauga. Paramedics responded to the scene and transported three children and two adults to hospital. None of the five sustained life-threatening injuries.

Car accident: OPP say Canada Day long weekend claimed 5 lives

The Ontario Provincial Police were out in full force across the province over the Canada Day long weekend. They took specific care to reduce speeding and reckless driving. Even one fatal car accident is one too many, and sadly, a number of lives were lost in crashes during this year's celebrations.

Double ending in real estate transaction may soon be prohibited

Currently, when buying and selling property in Ontario, one agent is allowed to represent both the buyer and the seller. This practice, referred to as double ending, is now being reconsidered. The government recently proposed changes that would prohibit it -- with some exceptions. If the proposal is accepted, double ending will only be allowed when the real estate transaction is privately arranged between family members, or in remote areas where there is a shortage of real estate agents.

Head-on car accident on Highway 9 sends 6 to hospital

The Ontario Provincial Police recently reported a devastating crash that occurred on Highway 9, not far from Tottenham. Accident reports indicate that the car accident occurred shortly before 7 p.m. on June 17. Three cars were involved, and several people suffered critical injuries.
