Abhi Mathews has been in the financial services industry for over eleven years, during which, he assisted in placing and advising on over $400 million in capital for public and private companies. His valuation, advisory and modelling experience includes the valuation of business enterprises, common stock, preferred stock, debt issues, partnership interests for estate tax planning, management buy-outs, private placements, shareholder transactions, and employee stock ownership plans (ESOP/409A). Mr. Mathews assists the courts by providing litigation support in family law matters, shareholder disputes, oppression remedies, breach of contracts/loss of profits, intellectual property infringement, and economic loss quantification. Through the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators, he has scored the highest mark for Litigation 1. Mr. Mathews currently sits as a member of the educational working body of the CFA Institute and an advisory board member for a Canadian asset manager. Abhi is a Chartered Business Valuator and a Chartered Financial Analyst. He is completing his designation to become a Senior Appraiser - Business Valuations with the American Society of Appraisers. He completed his Bachelors in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Waterloo, with a minor in Economics.
